Meet the CEEC Staff
Ms. Johanna has been teaching at CEEC since its inception seven years ago. With a Montessori teaching background and certifications in lifeguarding and CPR, she brings a wealth of experience and care to the classroom. Outside of school, she teaches faith classes on Sundays and volunteers with young girls in Limón 2, helping them discover new skills like surfing. She is currently studying English and enjoys exploring organic projects in the community. Her favorite part of CEEC is seeing families come together during school presentations.
Ms. Natalia has been part of CEEC since 2019. She is a psychologist, psychotraumatologist, and mother of three girls. She began her journey at CEEC working with the youngest students and is passionate about child development and language acquisition. Outside of school, she enjoys sports, including tennis, and has a background as a former professional dancer. She holds a degree from SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities and continues to apply her knowledge to support students in their growth.
Ms. Rachel has been dedicated to teaching for over 7 years, starting at the age of 17. She has worked with children aged 3 to 6 for 3 years with the Ministry of Education (Mined) and has diplomas in Early Childhood Education and Adult Education. She is currently studying for an intensive English certification. Ms. Rachel has been with CEEC for 2 years, teaching and supporting students. She is pursuing a degree in Spanish to further enhance her skills. Outside of school, she has been passionate about softball since the age of 10.
Ms. Celine, originally from Switzerland, is fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian. She holds a degree in social work, along with specializations in special education and international cooperation. With over ten years of experience working in special needs education, kindergarten, and primary schools worldwide, she brings a global perspective to the classroom. Celine joined the CEEC team in June of 2024, following her time at the American Nicaraguan School (ANS). Her favorite part of CEEC is working and having fun with the students every day.
Ms. Ines, originally from Argentina, holds a degree in Environmental Science and Management from the University of Science and Management in Buenos Aires. She joined CEEC with experience in education, having worked as a teacher's assistant, preschool teacher, and lead kindergarten teacher. Currently, she teaches afternoon enrichment classes, including Physical Education, Sports, and Art, while completing her Montessori Education certification. In addition to teaching, she is bilingual, a lifeguard by ISLA, CPR certified, she founded the kids' club in Iguana, and is co-owner of Ola Studio offering yoga, arts, and crafts. Ines enjoys reading, surfing, and creating mandala necklaces, and is passionate about continuing to learn and teach.
Ms. Jenny has been teaching for over 26 years, beginning her journey in 1998 by volunteering at a school for disabled students. She studied Early Childhood Education at Cape Fear Community College and later earned the Early Childhood Administration Credential from Pitt Community College. In 2005, she opened her own preschool in North Carolina, developing curriculum and teaching young learners. Since moving to Nicaragua in 2016, she has taught English to children and adults and worked in various schools, including Tola International School and Escuela Santa Ana. She has been an integral part of CEEC, teaching, supporting students across multiple grade levels, and helping to run the school.
Mr. Manuel started at CEEC in November 2022 and has been dedicated to teaching for nearly 10 years. He holds a degree in English with a focus on education and has trained English teachers for MINED since 2019. He also completed a technical certification in English language didactics from INATEC. Mr. Manuel enjoys spending time with his family and values the opportunity to share moments with students, encouraging their learning and growth. He is grateful for his experience at CEEC and loves being part of the team.
Ms. Marcia is currently an classroom aide in a variety of grade levels, and assists with extracurricular classrooms in the afternoon. She has education in agricultural sciences and after high school has received additional training in English and creative crafts. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, checking on her cows and horses, horseback riding, and reading by the beach. At CEEC, her favorite moments are helping children calm down and supporting both her students and colleagues. Ms. Marcia
Ms. Josseling joined the CEEC team this school year and works at helping to keep the CEEC classrooms and facilities beautiful. She is working toward her bachelor's degree, is in her third year of studying Psychology, and is a proud mother to an 11-year-old son. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her son, visiting her parents, and staying active through exercise. Her favorite part of CEEC is serving food, as it allows her to interact with the children and get to know them better. Previously, she worked in purchasing and cleaning roles at Aqua Hotel and Treehouse for a combined five years.
Mr. Danny ensures that CEEC is clean and welcoming each day as students and teachers arrive. He also manages the gate, greeting parents and children warmly. One of his favorite parts of his role is interacting with students during recess. Outside of his daily responsibilities, he has a passion for gardening and takes pride in maintaining a beautiful environment for the school community.
